So the film "Across the Universe" came out on the 14th. Being a fan of The Beatles, I am obviously going to go and see it, and I'm almost certain that no matter how good the film is as a whole, I will like it nonetheless due to the music.
It's interesting how a simple thing like the music or cast of a film can shange our opinions. I know a multitude of people who refuse to see a film, no matter how good it is, simply because they don't like one of the actors, whom they probably saw in another movie. I suppose people just "judge the book by it's cover".
Here's the trailer for Across the Universe.

Oh, Auntie Emmy... there's no place like the awards gala!
Well, tonight is the Emmy Awards.
It's amazing how people will tune in to see their favourite show win an award, probably to believe that they're not the only person who watches it (which in today's society makes them a sad loser)
Personally I prefer to hear the results the next day, although there's only one result I really want to know about. I'm a big fan of the show Lost, and so I want to know whether Terry O'Quinn or Michael Emerson win an award for the "Outstanding supporting actor in a drama series".
Both of them are brilliant, so if either of them win, I'll be happy.
Isn't it amazing how powerful celebrity is?

The First Post
Greetings, fellow beings of earth. First of all, let me state that this Blog has been created for a Media Studies project, and thus it will focus on the media, for the most part. Of course, the word media can encompass quite a few things, so I don't think I will run out of topics to talk about.
Since I'm writing this late at night (or early in the morning, if you will), I shall keep this brief.
Until next time, my many minions of Blogland, you shall have to make do with the last movie I made.
